Job Description:

The Manager – Operations will be responsible for managing the back-office operations of executed contracts, ensuring seamless and efficient processes. The role involves data entry, preparing contracts, generating MIS reports, managing client relationships, and providing regular follow-up on in-transit shipments. The Manager will play a key role in client communication and contract management, as well as producing detailed market trend reports. A deep understanding of import-export documentation and agricultural commodities, along with excellent client relationship skills, is essential

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Data Entry and MIS Reporting: Efficiently manage and update databases and generate management information system (MIS) reports.
  • Contract Management: Handle all aspects of contract preparation, execution, and follow-ups.
  • Research & Reporting: Generate detailed reports on market trends, supply chain dynamics, price forecasts, and potential risks, offering clients actionable insights.
  • Compliance: Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Communication: Provide clients with updates on market conditions, portfolio performance, and relevant developments within the agricultural sector.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (such as Series 3 license) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in export-import documentation, particularly in agricultural markets, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural markets and key influencing factors.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in trading platforms, financial analysis tools, and market data systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in commodity markets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
