Position Overview
Conoil Producing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to lead upstream operational activities. The ideal candidate will possess significant industry expertise and a proven track record of leadership in multinational environments. This position is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, strategic planning, and overall business growth within the upstream segment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Drive operational excellence by developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with corporate goals.
- Lead multi-functional teams to achieve production targets, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify growth opportunities and technological advancements in upstream operations.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily upstream activities, including exploration, drilling, production, and maintenance.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation to achieve high efficiency and cost control.
- Monitor and improve operational KPIs to deliver consistent performance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, regulatory bodies, and contractors, to ensure smooth operations.
- Represent the company in high-level discussions and negotiations.
Team Development and Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing team to foster innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies to safeguard operational integrity.
Key Requirements
Experience and Expertise
- Minimum of 18 years of relevant experience, with significant time in leadership roles within top multinational brands in Oil & Gas (Upstream) or closely related sectors.
- Exposure to Telecom, Digital Payments, FMCG, or Downstream Oil & Gas industries in sales, marketing, or operations will be an added advantage.
Age Criteria
- Preferred age range: 45 to 58 years (exceptional candidates above this age range will be considered).
