Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Assistant Manager - Logistics to oversee our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor selection, rate negotiation, route optimization, and fleet management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet operations that align with organizational policies and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
- Select and negotiate rates with multiple vendors to secure the best service levels within budgetary constraints.
- Process vendor billing in compliance with organizational agreements and annexures.
Fleet Operations:
- Manage fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are available and in safe, reliable condition to meet operational needs.
- Monitor and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing costs.
- Oversee vehicle dispatch times across multiple locations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve agreed-upon service levels.
- Lead and manage subordinate staff to ensure operational goals are met.
- Coordinate with the operations department to optimize the use of equipment, facilities, and human resources.
Financial Management:
- Analyze expenditures and financial data to develop plans and budgets aimed at increasing profitability and improving services.
- Implement and enforce corporate strategies and policies related to fleet management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in fleet management, vendor selection, and rate negotiation.
- Strong skills in route optimization and cost-effective fleet operations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
