Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Operations (Cluster Planner) will work closely with cluster planners and the zonal head to drive effective Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for the zone. This role will involve detailed production planning and distribution network design across clusters, with a focus on ensuring optimal production, composting, and overall operations at the zonal level. The incumbent will be responsible for forecasting, capacity ramp-up planning, and managing daily and seasonal supply and distribution metrics.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the zonal operations and sales teams to create performance metrics and review mechanisms to monitor daily/weekly operations.
- Plan seasonal plantation for all clusters within the zone to ensure the delivery of the desired product mix.
- Drive supply reviews and S&OP for the zone, ensuring alignment between supply and demand.
- Manage daily channel-level supply and distribution planning to ensure timely deliveries.
- Develop capacity ramp-up plans to handle seasonality and demand fluctuations.
- Responsible for accurate forecasting for the zone and ensure forecast accuracy.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports for forecast accuracy and updated estimates.
- Establish demand-supply metrics and effective workflows to manage daily fulfillments, short supplies, and wastages.
- Focus on minimizing wastages and write-offs, triggering liquidation processes and planning accordingly.
- Lead innovation projects at the zonal level to improve processes and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering/ Agriculture.
- 5-6 years of experience in planning, procurement, or related functions.
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other computer skills.
