Position: Business Development cum Sales Manager

Job Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development cum Sales Manager to join our team. This role will involve driving business growth and managing sales activities to expand our client/customer base. You will engage closely with potential and existing clients to understand their training needs, develop tailored solutions, and close deals. Your objective will be to achieve sales targets, foster strong relationships, and increase our market presence. The successful candidate will focus on targeting partnerships with academic institutions, including engineering colleges, universities, and other educational bodies, in addition to enhancing the brand and expanding the customer base for training services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships in the training sector (B2B).
    • Develop and implement strategies to expand market reach and increase revenue (B2C).
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations.
  2. Sales Management:

    • Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, including preparing and presenting proposals and negotiating contracts.
    • Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase training programs and solutions.
    • Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs to drive revenue growth.
    • Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and follow up on leads.
    • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to create effective sales campaigns and promotional materials.
  3. Client/Customer Relationship Management:

    • Understand clients’ training needs and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their requirements.
    • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and post-sales.
    • Gather client feedback to improve training offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.
  4. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize strategies.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the training delivery team to ensure alignment between client expectations and service delivery.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of sales strategies and business plans.
Experience Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Business Administration or Marketing preferred).
  • Proven experience (Min 8+ years, or 6+ years for exceptional candidates) in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the training or edtech sector.
  • Prior experience in the Training Sector, Skill Development, or Engineering College segments is a major advantage.
  • Understanding of IT training products and services, and the ability to communicate their value effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain long-term client partnerships.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Job Location: Hyderabad (willingness to travel required).

Salary Package: 10 LPA+ or based on previous salary package (with 30-40% variable pay based on targets).

The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships, understanding client needs, and closing deals. Your contributions will be vital in expanding our client base and supporting overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities and leads in the training sector.
    • Research and target potential clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
    • Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets within assigned territories.
    • Identify key decision-makers in colleges, universities, and districts to promote EdTech/training products and services.
  2. Sales Activities:

    • Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase training programs and solutions.
    • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and contracts to potential clients.
    • Negotiate terms and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Follow up with prospects and clients to ensure successful implementation and satisfaction.
    • Conduct brand promotion activities in colleges, corporates, etc.
  3. Client Relationship Management:

    • Understand clients’ training needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
    • Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process and post-sales support.
    • Address client inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure positive experiences.
  4. Lead Generation and Prospecting:

    • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
    • Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements with colleges and districts.
    • Close sales and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  5. Market Research and Analysis:

    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
    • Analyze market data to identify opportunities for growth and refine sales strategies.
    • Provide feedback and insights to help improve training programs and services.
  6. Reporting and Administration:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
