Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all fleet vehicles, including heavy-duty and light commercial vehicles such as transit mixers, tippers, excavators, and loaders. This role involves ensuring the timely and efficient maintenance of the vehicles, planning their daily operations, and collaborating with the purchase department for necessary parts and equipment procurement. The Logistics Manager will also manage site mechanics and drivers, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the fleet of vehicles, including both heavy-duty and light commercial vehicles.
  • Plan daily vehicle deployment and ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Coordinate with the purchase department to procure required vehicle parts and equipment.
  • Work with site mechanics to ensure timely vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Supervise and manage drivers, ensuring adherence to operational guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and fleet management activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards in all fleet operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics or fleet management.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operational planning.
  • Experience in construction material transportation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of procurement processes for vehicle spare parts.
  • Experience in managing a fleet of heavy-duty and commercial vehicles.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting.

Work Environment:

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: Rs. 30,000 - 35,000 per month.
  • Employee State Insurance (ESI) and Provident Fund (PF) benefits.
  • 4 days of leave per month.
