Job Title: Safety Officer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Safety Officer to oversee and enforce workplace safety standards in our architectural glass processing factory. The role involves risk assessments, safety audits, compliance monitoring, and employee training to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Compliance & Regulations
- Develop and implement safety policies as per legal and industry standards.
- Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Prevention
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
- Implement corrective actions to mitigate workplace risks.
3. Safety Inspections & Audits
- Perform daily safety inspections of the factory floor, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensure that all safety equipment (fire extinguishers, PPE, first-aid kits) is in good condition.
4. Accident Prevention & Reporting
- Investigate accidents or near-miss incidents, determine root causes, and suggest preventive measures.
- Maintain incident records and prepare compliance reports.
5. Employee Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety training programs for employees.
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adherence to safety protocols.
6. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and update emergency response plans for fire, spills, and other incidents.
- Organize and lead evacuation drills to ensure employee readiness.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of safety audits, inspections, training logs, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with HR and production teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Safety Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar safety certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in a safety officer role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in risk assessment, accident prevention, and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Willingness to relocate near the factory premises.
