Job Summary
This is a highly strategic role that functions as an extension of the executive leadership team. More than administrative support, the Chief of Staff / Executive Assistant is expected to be a proactive, analytical, and business-savvy partner who drives decision-making, ensures operational alignment with corporate priorities, and manages high-impact initiatives.
This role requires someone with strong leadership, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills to translate ideas into action, accelerate key business outcomes, and represent executive leadership in critical settings.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnership & Decision Support
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chairman/MD, offering data-backed insights and strategic recommendations.
Manage and execute high-priority projects that support business goals.
Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and financial analysis to support executive-level decisions.
Distill complex business issues into actionable strategies.
Proactively identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
2. Executive & Business Operations Management
Drive execution of strategic initiatives across business units in alignment with corporate objectives.
Streamline executive workflows to ensure the Chairman/MD focuses on top priorities.
Track progress and ensure accountability for critical deliverables.
Effectively communicate and implement decisions organization-wide.
Lead process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
3. Cross-Functional Project & Stakeholder Management
Act as liaison between the Chairman/MD and key internal/external stakeholders.
Collaborate with functional heads to ensure successful execution of cross-departmental initiatives.
Represent the Chairman/MD in high-stakes meetings and discussions.
Cultivate relationships with board members, investors, regulators, and partners.
4. Leadership & People Management
Work closely with senior leadership to drive transformational projects and business goals.
Oversee executive-level projects requiring cross-functional alignment.
Organize and facilitate leadership meetings, ensuring outcomes are tracked and actioned.
Promote a culture of accountability, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.
5. Governance, Compliance & Confidentiality
Uphold corporate governance and risk management best practices.
Handle sensitive, high-level information with strict confidentiality.
Draft, review, and manage corporate documents, agreements, and executive communications.
6. Crisis & Risk Management
Identify and evaluate risks that could disrupt business operations.
Support crisis management and response planning during unforeseen events.
7. External Engagement & Public Relations
Represent the executive office at public events, industry forums, and regulatory meetings.
Maintain strong professional networks to enhance business visibility and industry influence.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Strategy, or a related field (IIM Graduates Preferred).
8–15 years in a Chief of Staff, strategic advisory, or high-level executive support role.
Proven experience in business strategy, corporate governance, and operations.
Strong problem-solving skills with a history of driving measurable outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
Capable of managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership presence with stakeholder influence across all levels.
Preferred Skills
Background in corporate finance, business development, or consulting is a plus.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to business operations.
Strong research and analytical skills to inform strategic decisions.
