Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in traditional tandoori cooking and will be responsible for preparing and presenting authentic tandoori dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring food quality.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tandoor Cooking:
Prepare and cook various tandoori items such as naan, roti, kebabs, tandoori chicken, paneer tikka, seekh kebabs, etc.
Ensure accurate cooking times and maintain flavor and moisture in dishes.
2. Food Preparation:
Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables with traditional tandoori spices and yogurt-based sauces.
Follow standard recipes for consistent taste and presentation.
3. Tandoor Oven Operation & Maintenance:
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven efficiently and safely.
Clean and season the oven regularly to ensure peak performance and hygiene standards.
4. Hygiene & Food Safety:
Adhere to HACCP and local food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including utensils and equipment.
5. Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage stock levels of all tandoori ingredients.
Coordinate with the head chef or kitchen manager for restocking and minimize wastage.
6. Team Coordination:
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Contribute ideas to the menu planning for tandoori items.
7. Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular tasting to ensure consistency and maintain high quality.
Ensure presentation standards are met for every dish served.
Candidate Profile:
Educational Qualification:
Diploma in Hotel Management (Preferred, not mandatory)
Graduation/Post-graduation not mandatory
Languages Required:
Hindi and English (Read & Write)
Communication Skills:
Should be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in Hindi and English
