Tandoor Chef

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tandoor Cooking:

• Prepare and cook various tandoori items such as naan, roti, kebabs, tandoori chicken, paneer tikka, seekh kebabs, etc.

• Ensure accurate cooking times and maintain flavor and moisture in dishes.

2. Food Preparation:

• Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables with traditional tandoori spices and yogurt-based sauces.

• Follow standard recipes for consistent taste and presentation.

3. Tandoor Oven Operation & Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain the tandoor oven efficiently and safely.

• Clean and season the oven regularly to ensure peak performance and hygiene standards.

4. Hygiene & Food Safety:

• Adhere to HACCP and local food safety regulations.

• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including utensils and equipment.

5. Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage stock levels of all tandoori ingredients.

• Coordinate with the head chef or kitchen manager for restocking and minimize wastage.

6. Team Coordination:

• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

• Contribute ideas to the menu planning for tandoori items.

7. Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular tasting to ensure consistency and maintain high quality.

• Ensure presentation standards are met for every dish served.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Hotel Management (Preferred, not mandatory)

• Graduation/Post-graduation not mandatory

Languages Required:

• Hindi and English (Read & Write)

Communication Skills:

• Should be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in Hindi and English
