Primary Responsibilities :
Key Result Areas and Supporting Actions:
Developing seasonal collections of womenswear in close association with the design team – both RTW and couture
- Development of new womenswear silhouettes/patterns individually or with pattern masters.
- Developing sketches/technical drawings of garments.
- Defining and supervision of grading, sizing.
Prototype/Sample creation
- Overseeing the production of proto designs.
- Carrying out fittings for models/VIPs.
- Coordinate with the sourcing team to evaluate materials (fabrics, trims, etc.) based on design requirements.
Design information communication
- Communicating technical design information for production/customer samples.
- Working with production teams to ensure quality and consistency.

Experience Requirements:

- Qualification, Experience & Competency:
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Design
Minimum Relevant Experience: 3 years as a designer from pattern companies like Gauri and Nainika, Gaurav Gupta, Bodice, Dhruv Kapoor
Minimum Total Work Experience: 2-3 years
Skills:
- Research and develop a range of collections based on the brief given; study and interpret the sketches; create toiles/prototypes.
- Make adjustments after fittings.
- Work in accordance with the technical instructions, the chosen materials, and the deadlines.
- Communicate clearly with seamstresses on assembly and finishes.
- Control the quality of each design before and after fitting.
