Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, and SQL.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience with functional, performance, and security testing, with a basic understanding of GDPR.
• Ability to write well-documented test plans and evolve them into automated test plans where appropriate.
• Strong experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android.
• Experience using configuration management or version control tools.
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive QA test plans, evolving testing strategies, and automation and release plans.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance the quality of API, mobile, and web applications using automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and analyze bug defects, providing quality assurance support throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile project management and sprint cycles, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Measure and analyze performance characteristics of systems, applying web optimization techniques to enhance performance.
• Conduct rigorous testing of mobile devices and APIs to ensure efficient configuration, operation, and capabilities.
• Utilize automation frameworks such as Selenium or equivalent for test automation.
• Work closely with development teams, product managers, and operations teams to test and optimize mobile releases.
• Query and analyze data in both RDBMS and NoSQL databases, utilizing coding languages such as Java, HTML, JS, NodeJS, Python, XML, and JSON feeds.
• Produce clear and concise test reports and release notes, providing feedback on technical, troubleshooting, or operational issues.
• Assist in configuring and maintaining test environments.
• Suggest and implement new processes and policies to improve mobile development and testing techniques.
• Utilize modern tools such as Clickup, Slack, GitHub, Jenkins, or equivalent for efficient workflow management.
