Position: Billing Engineer/Quantity Surveyor

Experience Requirements:
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20+ site-based billing engineers across India
- Develop a senior billing engineer team to handle increased workload and project volume
- Oversee all billing reporting and activities using SAP S4HANA ERP
- Prepare and manage detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) based on drawings and specifications
- Conduct site measurements and prepare quantity estimates for construction activities
- Verify subcontractor and supplier bills, ensuring timely payments
- Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final bills to clients
- Maintain and update project cost records, including variations and change orders
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers for accurate billing and cost control
- Review and verify client contracts and agreements for compliance
- Prepare and submit monthly billing reports and cost statements
- Monitor project costs, highlight discrepancies or potential overruns
- Assist in the preparation of tenders and contract documentation
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve billing-related issues
- Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures
- Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts and budgets
Qualifications:
- Ideally a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. A Bachelor’s Degree with substantial experience will also be considered.
- 10+ years of proven experience as a Billing Engineer or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- 5+ years of experience in team leadership and management
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or others) preferred
- Proficiency in cost estimation and billing software
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
