Lead Process Engineer

The purpose of the  Process Engineer is to provide technical leadership and working with full range of project
execution including all design phases (tender, basic design, detailed design), bid support, detailed design and
commissioning for gas treating packages for both on and off shore (including FPSOs) Oil & Gas Industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and working with full range of process side capabilities including all design phases (tender /
basic design, detailed design), bid support and detailed design for gas treating.
• Ensuring planned engineering (process) progress with respect to the engineering deliverables for Tenders (as required)
and awarded projects, process engineering planning & scheduling, preparation of progress reports, man power &
resource forecast, time schedule of engineers, utilisation of resources effectively and efficiently.
• Estimating the cost for the packages during the bidding stage
• Develop design philosophies, engineering documents including PFD, Heat & Mass Balance and P&ID drawings
• Design calculations and preparation of Datasheets, Hydraulic calculations, PSV Sizing, Blow down & Depressurizing
Simulations
• Preparation of Operation, Control and Safeguarding Philosophy, Control and Safeguarding Initiatives, Alarm & Trip
Schedule, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Utility list, Valve and Instrument list and Line list
• Preparation of Plant Operation Manual &Safeguarding Memorandum
• Preparation of SIL documentation and attending HAZOP, 3D model & design review meetings
• Prepare equipment procurement specifications and engineering document templates
• Preparation & Issue of RFQs, Evaluation of vendor offers, clarifications, technical bid analysis and vendor document
deliverables for compliance with contractual requirements
• Review of Vendor documents, drawings, data sheets, specifications and calculations
• Conduct peer review of engineering documents generated by the other process team members
• Participate in developmental activities such as grass root calculation spread sheets, standard format for equipment
designs ad IT Programming development of local and web-based applications in order to minimize calculation time
• Promote cooperation and integration between process and mechanical divisions, particularly during post order to
minimise miscommunication which will result in errors and re-work
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations
• Maintain technical knowledge by staying up to date with product enhancements, upgrades and understand the impact to
new and existing customers
• To ensure proper division of work & responsibility among the process engineers, providing proper guidance &
integration of work done, ensuring good, positive &healthy working nature among the team to ensure optimum
productivity & efficiency
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
• At least 10 years of professional experience in design and engineering of Process Packages and Heat Transfer
solutions to O&G Industry like Gas Dehydration, Gas Sweetening (Amine based), Hydrocarbon Dew point, Condensate
stabilisation, Sulphur/Mercury removal, and fuel gas conditioning skids in both on and off shore including FPSOs
• Good experience in Instrumentation and Control systems
• Hands on experience in software like HYSYS, Unisim, Promax, Pipesim, FlareNet, TGNet, TLNet, HYSYS dynamics
and HTRI

• Proven track record in attending and closing Design review, HAZOP and SIL meetings with customers/end users in time
to maintain the Project schedule
• Advanced knowledge of Process design, Heat Transfer technology, Gas Treatment/Separation and Pressure vessel
design codes, End User specifications like API, ASME, Shell DEP/Aramco, Exxon Mobil etc and the ability to read
manufacturing drawings
• A proactive and positive attitude focused on the development of the Company’s business and the support of fellow staff
throughout pre-award and execution, working cooperatively and constructively within a culturally diverse team
environment
• Experience of estimating the Gas Treating skids
• Good English communication skills
• Good knowledge of Computing and MS Office and Excel, and presentation skills
• Focus on quality and provision of value to the Company and our clients
