Job Description:
As a Zonal Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and managing a team within your designated zone. Your focus will be on achieving sales targets for premium pet care treats and snacks. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with key clients, promoting the brand, driving visibility, increasing market share, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with various departments to optimize sales operations.

Developing and Implementing Sales Strategies:
- Formulate and execute effective sales strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and adapt sales tactics accordingly.
Managing and Motivating the Sales Team:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
Monitoring and Driving Sales Performance:
- Track sales metrics and KPIs to monitor individual and team performance.
- Provide feedback and implement corrective measures to improve results.
Building and Maintaining Client Relationships:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular client visits and meetings to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Analyzing Market Trends:
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Monitor competitor activities and develop counterstrategies.
Ensuring Customer Satisfaction:
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality.
Collaborating with Other Departments:
- Work closely with marketing, logistics, finance, and other departments to streamline operations.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align sales initiatives with company goals.
Controlling Credit Limits:
- Monitor and manage customer credit limits to mitigate financial risks.
- Ensure timely collections and follow up on outstanding payments for healthy cash flow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Zonal Sales Manager or similar role in the FMCG industry, preferably in the pet care sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the designated zone.
