Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Head of Bakery to oversee and lead our bakery operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bakery management, with proven leadership experience and a passion for creating high-quality baked goods. This role requires someone with a thorough understanding of the baking process, as well as a hands-on approach to managing a team and operations efficiently.
Experience Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bakery operations, including production schedules, ingredient preparation, and the entire baking process.
- Lead, mentor, and train bakery staff, ensuring a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Address and troubleshoot issues related to equipment, ingredients, or production processes.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure proper stock levels for baking materials.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Implement cost control measures and optimize resource usage.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in bakery operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of bakery production processes, including ingredient handling and equipment operation.
- Proven experience in managing a team and conducting staff training.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
- Passion for producing high-quality, creative baked goods.
Education:
- Graduation in a relevant field (e.g., Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or related).
- Post-graduation or additional courses related to baking or management are a plus.
