Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement activities at a metal plant in Nigeria. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchase of raw materials, equipment, and supplies for the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and quality.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize purchasing and reduce costs.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock management.
Experience Requirements:
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement management.
- Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement processes, preferably in the metal industry.
- Negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be based in Nigeria or willing to relocate locally.
Salary Range: $1,500 - $2,000 USD/month
