Cluster Head

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead production and operations for the cluster, overseeing the team and ensuring smooth operations.
• Manage production planning, logistics, and customer delivery metrics within the cluster.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to gather market forecasts and plan production for a consistent supply of SKUs as required by customers.
• Oversee contract farming activities with network farmers, ensuring compliance with industry practices.
• Mobilize and finalize suitable farmers for contract farming, providing motivation, training, and guidance to adopt regenerative organic production according to established protocols.
• Monitor all farming activities to ensure adherence to non-chemical practices.
• Supervise activities at each Regional Agricultural Centre (RAC), including receiving vegetables from network farmers, sorting, grading, and storage.
• Ensure the quality of produce and work with operations teams to supply produce to the Collection Centre or Distribution Centre.
• Plan input production at the RAC level in alignment with vegetable production goals.
• Collaborate with technical teams to implement practices based on the latest science in regenerative agriculture, and provide feedback from the field to the Centre of Excellence.
• Plan budgets and optimize costs across all activities.
• Explore opportunities to expand operations to other locations within the region.

Qualifications / Skills Required:

• Post-graduation or graduation in Agriculture with 8-10 years of experience working directly with farmers at the ground level.
• Alternatively, graduates/postgraduates in other disciplines with relevant experience of 10+ years managing regional-level Agri/Fruits and Vegetables/contract farming operations.
• Prior experience in organic or natural farming is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
• Excellent people management skills with experience leading teams and managing direct reports.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of ERP systems.
