- Handling regulatory matters related to securities, stock exchanges, insider trading, market manipulation, and other compliance-related issues
- Coordination with SEBI and other regulatory bodies
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Representation & Advocacy:
- Represent the organization in matters before the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT).
- Prepare and present legal arguments, draft pleadings, and manage appeals and disputes related to securities law.
External Counsel & Advisory Management:
- Identify and engage senior counsels, law firms, and advisors for specialized matters before SAT and other securities-related cases.
- Work closely with external legal experts to develop litigation strategies and ensure favorable outcomes.
Securities Law Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
- Provide legal advice on SEBI regulations, stock exchange compliance, and other securities law matters.
- Assist in regulatory filings, investigations, and enforcement proceedings as needed.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
- Work closely with internal legal and business teams to provide strategic inputs on securities-related disputes.
- Report directly to the Group General Counsel, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- LLB from a reputed law school with a strong focus on securities and regulatory law.
- 10+ years of experience handling SAT matters, securities litigation, and SEBI-related cases.
- Deep understanding of SEBI regulations, stock market laws, and financial regulatory frameworks.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and litigation skills.
- Ability to coordinate with external legal experts and senior counsels effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
