Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to take full ownership of kitchen operations and ensure exceptional food quality, taste, and consistency. The ideal candidate should be a specialist in South Indian cuisine, with expertise in preparing tiffins, biryanis (veg & non-veg), curries, naans, rotis, tandoori items, starters, and desserts. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on innovation, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
The Head Chef will be responsible for developing new recipes, maintaining food quality, and refining the menu to remain competitive in the market. The role demands strong leadership, team management, and a passion for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high standards of taste, hygiene, and efficiency
- Maintain consistent quality of tiffins, meals, and all menu items
- Innovate and introduce new recipes, seasonal specials, and dishes to enhance customer experience
- Manage inventory, sourcing, and cost control to optimize profitability
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain excellence in food preparation and presentation
- Collaborate with management in business development efforts
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Monitor customer feedback and adapt menu offerings accordingly
- Keep up with changing food trends to maintain a competitive edge
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional culinary degree or certification (preferred)
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in South Indian and multi-cuisine restaurants
- Expertise in tiffins, biryanis, curries, naans, rotis, tandoori items, and desserts
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Experience in developing and innovating new recipes
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for business growth
- Strong knowledge of cost control and kitchen management
