Licensed Surveyor

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain confidentiality and neutrality in all claims assessments, ensuring the insurer's liability and the insured's claims are not jeopardized.
• Conduct property inspections and re-inspections for properties that have suffered a loss.
• Investigate and examine the causes, circumstances, and extent of losses, including verifying ownership and insurable interest.
• Conduct spot and final surveys, comment on franchise, excess/under insurance, and other related matters.
• Estimate, measure, and determine the quantum and description of the subject under loss.
• Advise the insured on loss minimization, loss control, security, and safety measures to prevent further losses.
• Assess the admissibility of the loss and ensure compliance with the policy’s warranty conditions.
• Survey and assess the loss on behalf of either the insurer or the insured.
• Assess liabilities under the insurance contract.
• Identify discrepancies, if any, in the policy wordings.
• Answer queries from the insured, insurer, and all relevant parties regarding the claim and loss.
• Recommend depreciation rates, quantum, and provide explanations for the repudiation of claims if they are not covered by the policy.
• Seek expert opinions as required and provide commentary on salvage and its disposal when necessary.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in reporting and information management tools, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Educational Qualifications:

• B.Tech / B.E in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an Insurance Surveyor.

Salary:

• Salary band is based on current salary and is negotiable for the right candidate.

Shift Timings:

• General shift timings from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Work Location:

• Indore, Banjarahills – Hyderabad, Telangana. Willingness to travel is required.
