Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in industrial piping design, 3D modeling, and digital twin technologies, along with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize piping layouts and ensure seamless integration within plant environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize piping systems based on project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
Process 3D scanning files and convert scanned data into precise and detailed CAD models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate piping designs into overall plant layouts.
Assist in the development and implementation of digital twin solutions for industrial plants, supporting advanced simulation, monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
Conduct design reviews, analyze layouts, and identify improvements for efficiency and safety.
Ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, ISO, and other applicable industry codes and standards.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design specifications.
Design and develop pipe racks in alignment with process and utility line requirements.
Draft and maintain Plot Plans, Equipment Layouts, and Piping Layouts.
Review equipment vendor General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) to finalize nozzle orientations as per design requirements.
Check piping isometrics along with Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy, connectivity with P&IDs, and compliance with Project Material Specifications (PMS).
Model small branches such as pressure indicators (PIs), temperature indicators (TIs), vents, and drains in conjunction with main pipes.
Conduct interference checks to identify and resolve clashes between piping, equipment, and structures.
Collaborate with senior officials and other disciplines to resolve piping and equipment-related issues.
Identify and resolve layout issues to optimize design accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare detailed piping route designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Perform pipe routing and support modeling to deliver robust and efficient systems.
Model equipment and structural components using tools such as E3D, PDMS, and Plant 3D.
Create detailed study drawings for both critical and non-critical piping lines.
Analyze P&IDs, equipment layouts, and piping layouts to refine designs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in piping design, preferably in industrial or plant environments.
Strong proficiency in handling 3D scanning data and converting it into CAD models.
Expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, or equivalent tools.
Experience with digital twin technologies is a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of piping systems, materials, and associated codes (ASME, ANSI, ISO, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in E3D, PDMS, and Plant 3D software.
Strong understanding of piping design principles, material specifications, and industry standards.
Expertise in interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and layouts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with digital transformation projects in manufacturing or industrial plants.
Knowledge of sustainability and smart factory practices is a plus.
