Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Billing Engineer
Job Location: Kolkata
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

Prepare accurate cost estimates based on drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

Develop and manage project budgets and financial forecasts.

Review project costs at various stages and provide inputs for cost optimization.
Billing & Invoicing:

Prepare and submit client bills, subcontractor invoices, and interim payment certificates (IPCs).

Monitor and verify completed work for billing accuracy.

Handle discrepancies or disputes related to payments and billing.
Experience Requirements:
Contract Management:
Assist in contract preparation, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Monitor adherence to contractual obligations by contractors and vendors.
Conduct audits to verify contract compliance and resolve contract-related issues.
Cost Control & Reporting:
Track and analyze expenses, identify cost-saving measures.
Prepare regular financial reports and project cost updates.
Forecast costs across the project lifecycle for informed decision-making.
Measurement & Valuation:
Conduct accurate measurement and valuation of work completed.
Maintain records for progress claims, final accounts, and scope variations.
Perform site visits to verify quality and quantity of completed work.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain organized records of contracts, variations, payments, and financial transactions.
Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all financial documentation is audit-ready.
Collaboration & Communication:
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve contractual or financial issues.
Communicate clearly with clients and contractors regarding billing and payments.
Provide inputs for strategic decisions related to cost and budgeting.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks in project execution.
Address insurance, claims, and budget overruns.
