Primary Responsibilities :
Clinical Care:

Diagnose and treat illnesses, infections, and developmental issues in infants, children, and adolescents.

Provide emergency and intensive care support in Pediatric ICU (PICU) and Neonatal ICU (NICU) settings.

Manage critical and high-risk pediatric and neonatal patients requiring intensive monitoring and life support.

Perform routine and emergency procedures including intubation, resuscitation, and IV line insertion.

Preventive and Developmental Care:
-
Administer immunizations and monitor child development milestones.
-
Educate parents on nutrition, hygiene, safety, and early childhood care.

Collaboration and Supervision:
-
Work closely with ICU/NICU nurses, pediatric intensivists, and neonatologists to deliver coordinated care.

Supervise junior doctors and nursing staff on pediatric and neonatal protocols.

Monitoring and Reporting:
-
Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
-
Maintain accurate and timely medical records, treatment plans, and follow-up notes.

Patient and Family Support:

Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis to families with empathy and clarity.

Provide counseling during critical and sensitive pediatric conditions.

Compliance and Standards:
-
Follow hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and MCI regulations.

Participate in audits, training, and continuous quality improvement programs.

Experience Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
-
MBBS with post-graduate qualification in Pediatrics:
-
MD (Pediatrics) / DNB (Pediatrics) / DCH (Diploma in Child Health)

Must be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) (formerly MCI)

Experience:
-
3–5 years of pediatric experience, preferably with ICU and NICU exposure.
Skills:
-
Strong clinical decision-making, emergency response, and patient handling skills.

Proficient in ICU/NICU procedures and use of pediatric critical care equipment.
-
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
