Role Overview
The Technical Presales Lead Engineer will act as the primary technical advisor to the sales team and a trusted solution architect for prospective customers. This role involves leading technical strategy for complex enterprise deals involving the Atlassian suite, DevOps transformations, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will translate complex business and technical requirements into high-impact, value-driven solutions. In addition to hands-on presales execution, this role includes mentoring junior presales engineers and contributing to solutioning best practices.

Strong understanding of the complete DevOps lifecycle

Strong understanding of Atlassian deployments on AWS (preferred)
Migration Experience

Minimum 3+ years in Presales / Solution Architecture / Technical Account Management roles

Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Strategy
Lead detailed discovery and requirement-gathering sessions with senior stakeholders including CTOs, Engineering Managers, and Product Owners
Identify challenges across SDLC, ITSM, Agile delivery, and cloud infrastructure
Design end-to-end solutions integrating Atlassian tools, DevOps pipelines, and AWS cloud services
Define architecture and best-practice frameworks aligned with business objectives
Design migration strategies from Server/Data Center to Atlassian Cloud or AWS-hosted Data Center
Technical Presales Execution
Build and deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate solution feasibility
Jira Service Management portals
CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker
AWS scalability and high-availability architectures
Deliver tailored, business-value-focused demos and presentations
Lead technical responses for RFPs/RFIs, including architecture diagrams, solution descriptions, and estimations
Support sales teams during deal closure with technical validation and customer assurance
Thought Leadership & Enablement
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Atlassian, DevOps, and AWS technologies
Stay updated on latest product features, cloud services, and industry trends
Recommend Atlassian Marketplace apps and third-party plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner, EazyBI) based on client needs
Mentor and guide junior presales engineers; review solution designs and POCs
Contribute to presales frameworks, templates, and reusable solution assets
