Job Summary
The Head Nurse – Oncology & Hematology Area is responsible for overseeing nursing care for patients undergoing cancer and blood disorder treatments. This role focuses on delivering specialized, compassionate care while ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and effective team management.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Sc. Nursing (GNM / BSc Nursing)
- Valid nursing license / registration
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in oncology or hematology care

- Ability to handle critical and sensitive patient cases

- Supervise oncology and hematology nursing staff
- Ensure safe administration of chemotherapy and related treatments
- Monitor patient conditions, side effects, and treatment responses
- Coordinate with oncologists, hematologists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Ensure strict infection control and safety protocols
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families
- Manage treatment schedules and follow-up care
- Train and mentor nursing staff on oncology procedures
- Monitor and manage medical equipment and chemotherapy supplies
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Handle emergency situations related to oncology care
- Conduct audits and quality checks for patient care
