Department: Procurement / International Sourcing

Location: Nashik / Mumbai (with international coordination)
Reporting To: Director / Head – Petrochemical & Energy Division

Job Summary

We are seeking a result-oriented professional to manage international procurement of petrochemical and energy products from the Southeast Asia market. The role involves sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and handling end-to-end import procurement operations for key commodities.

Key Products Handling

  • Base Oil (Group I, II, III)
  • Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO)
  • Bitumen (Various Grades)
  • Polymers (PP, PE, PVC)
  • Industrial chemicals and solvents

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain
  • MBA (preferred)

Experience

  • 4–12 years in procurement of:
    • Base Oil / Bitumen / MTO
    • Petrochemicals / Industrial chemicals
  • Experience in trading or import-export companies preferred

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

1. International Sourcing & Vendor Development

  • Identify and develop suppliers across Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam)
  • Build strong relationships with refineries, traders, and distributors
  • Evaluate supplier credibility, pricing, and supply capability

2. Procurement & Negotiation

  • Handle RFQs, price negotiations, and contract finalization
  • Ensure competitive pricing aligned with global market trends
  • Negotiate commercial terms, payment terms, and delivery schedules

3. Import & Logistics Coordination

  • Manage end-to-end import procurement cycle
  • Coordinate shipment planning, documentation (BL, Invoice, COA, Packing List), and customs clearance
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and documentation

4. Market Intelligence

  • Track global pricing trends for Base Oil, Bitumen, MTO, and petrochemicals
  • Monitor crude oil impact and regional demand-supply dynamics
  • Share regular market insights with management

5. Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams
  • Align procurement with sales demand and inventory planning
  • Support cost optimization and margin improvement

6. Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain procurement reports, supplier database, and pricing records
  • Analyze cost trends and procurement efficiency

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in petrochemical, base oil, or bitumen procurement
  • Hands-on experience in international sourcing (Southeast Asia preferred)
  • Knowledge of:
    • INCOTERMS
    • Import documentation
    • Commodity trading practices
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
