Technical Skills Required

Chemical Handling: Proficiency in safely handling and mixing industrial chemicals and additives.
Math & Measurement: Ability to calculate ratios and percentages for large-scale batch mixing.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Adhesive Preparation: Mix starch-based glue according to standardized formulas (Stein Hall or specialized batches) to meet production requirements.
Consistency Monitoring: Regularly check and maintain the viscosity (using a Zahn cup or similar) and temperature of the glue to prevent bonding failures.
Application Oversight: Ensure the glue roll gaps are correctly set to provide a uniform film of adhesive across the board without oversaturation.
Quality Assurance: Coordinate with the "Wet End" and "Dry End" operators to troubleshoot bonding issues like de-lamination or "wash-boarding."
Inventory & Records: Maintain meticulous logs of raw material consumption (starch, borax, caustic soda) and batch preparation timings.
Safety & Housekeeping: Handle chemicals (like caustic soda) with strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a spill-free, clean "Glue Kitchen."
