Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile MEP Engineer to oversee the successful integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on-site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all utility services are installed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations while maintaining seamless coordination between different service teams.

 

Candidate Profile

Experience & Education:

Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 2+ years of on-site experience in MEP projects (Residential, Commercial, or Industrial).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP Coordination Drawings and AutoCAD.

Solid understanding of plumbing codes, electrical safety standards, and fire protection norms.

Knowledge of BoQ (Bill of Quantities) and basic project costing.

Soft Skills:

Strong multi-tasking abilities and the stamina for active site management.

Excellent communication skills for coordinating with consultants, architects, and vendors.

Strong attention to detail, specifically regarding "clash detection" and space management.

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

1. System Coordination & Integration

Review and coordinate MEP drawings (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting) to identify and resolve clashes before execution.

Ensure that all MEP services are integrated effectively with the civil and architectural layout of the building.

2. Site Supervision & Execution

Oversee the installation of electrical systems (LV/HV, lighting, power), plumbing (water supply, drainage), and firefighting systems.

Manage sub-contractors and site labor to ensure work is completed as per the approved project schedule.

Conduct regular site inspections to verify that installation meets technical and quality standards.

3. Material & Inventory Management

Prepare Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and verify that delivered materials match the approved technical submittals and BoQ (Bill of Quantities).

Assist in the preparation of daily/weekly progress reports and look-ahead schedules.

4. Testing & Commissioning

Witness and document testing procedures, including pressure tests for plumbing, insulation resistance for electrical, and functional tests for fire alarms and pumps.

Ensure "As-Built" drawings are accurately prepared and handed over upon project completion.
