Role Objective
The Senior Lead – Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for developing and executing a long-term sourcing strategy that ensures the timely availability of high-quality materials at the most competitive costs. You will lead the procurement lifecycle, from vendor identification and risk assessment to contract negotiation and performance management.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing (Experience in Engineering, Automotive, or Manufacturing sectors is highly preferred).
Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management. An MBA in Operations/SCM is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills: * Expertise in SAP/ERP procurement modules.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for data-driven decision-making.
Understanding of GST, Import/Export documentation, and Incoterms.
Soft Skills: High integrity, exceptional negotiation prowess, and strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key categories (Raw Materials, Components, or Indirect Spend) to drive cost savings and value.
Vendor Management: Identify, audit, and onboard new suppliers globally and locally. Maintain a robust "Supplier Scorecard" to monitor quality, delivery, and compliance.
Negotiation & Contracting: Lead high-stake negotiations to secure favorable pricing, credit terms, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Cost Optimization: Conduct "Should-Cost" modeling and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to identify saving opportunities.
Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans for critical supplies to ensure zero production downtime due to supply chain disruptions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to understand technical specifications and ensure material suitability.
