Primary Responsibilities :
Job Title: Deputy Centre Head
Organization: Centre of Excellence in Urban Transport (CoE-UT)
Salary Range: ₹15,00,000 – ₹20,00,000 Per Annum

Role Objective
The Deputy Centre Head will support the Centre Head in the strategic leadership, operational management, and technical oversight of the Centre. You will play a pivotal role in driving research initiatives, managing high-stakes consultancy projects for government bodies, and ensuring the financial and administrative sustainability of the Centre.
4. Financial Oversight
Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and utilization.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial reports for the board/management.
Candidate Profile
Education: Master’s degree in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or PhD is a significant advantage.
Experience: 10–15 years of experience in the urban transport sector, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or leadership role.
Technical Skills: * Proficiency in transport modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, VISUM, CUBE).
Deep understanding of the Indian urban transport policy landscape (NUTP, Metro Rail Policy, etc.).
Soft Skills: Exceptional command of English (written and verbal), strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage diverse professional teams.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Research
Lead complex projects related to Urban Transport Planning, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), and Public Transport Systems.
Oversee the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Comprehensive Mobility Plans (CMPs), and policy advisory documents.
Guide research teams in data collection, transport modeling, and impact analysis.
2. Operational & Team Management
Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring project timelines and quality benchmarks are met.
Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of transport planners, engineers, and researchers.
Coordinate between different departments to ensure seamless execution of the Centre’s mandate.
3. Stakeholder & Government Relations
Act as a primary liaison with Municipal Corporations, State Transport Departments, and MoHUA.
Represent the Centre at national and international forums, workshops, and policy dialogues.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, grant funding, and consultancy mandates.
