Role Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our flagship Gurgaon kitchen. You will work closely with the Owner/Chef to craft and execute an Asian-inspired, globally influenced menu rooted in traditional techniques. This role demands creativity, technical expertise, and strong leadership to define and elevate the culinary identity of Odd Culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Menu Innovation & Development
- Design and evolve a menu combining Australian influences, Asian inspiration, and Indian seasonal ingredients
- Curate offerings for both high-energy brunch and refined evening cocktail service
Fermentation & Bakery Leadership
- Oversee in-house fermentation program including sourdough, lacto-fermentation, koji techniques, and pickling
- Maintain consistency and innovation in bakery and fermentation outputs
Operations & Quality Control
- Lead kitchen operations for an 80-seat, high-volume service
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and service speed
- Maintain highest standards of hygiene and food safety
Financial & Inventory Management
- Manage food costs, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Optimize profitability without compromising on quality
Team Leadership & Culture Building
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff
- Build a culture of precision, creativity, and continuous learning
Kitchen Technology & Innovation
- Utilize modern kitchen equipment and techniques
- Integrate culinary innovation with beverage and coffee pairings
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 8+ years of professional kitchen experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in fermentation, sourdough baking, and modern culinary techniques
- Experience in Australian or international hospitality environments preferred
- Ability to handle diverse service formats (brunch + cocktail bar dining)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with understanding of the Gurgaon market
- Passion for experimental, bacteria-driven flavors and culinary storytelling
