Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and performance-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive client acquisition and revenue growth for digital marketing services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a digital or creative agency environment and a strong understanding of how to position services such as SEO, performance marketing, social media, branding, and content into impactful business solutions.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, consultative selling, and strong client relationship management skills.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Business Development or Sales within a digital marketing or creative agency
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing services including SEO, SEM/PPC, Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, and Analytics
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with CRM tools and lead generation platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Upwork
  • Ability to work independently in a target-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Strong consultative selling approach with a focus on client needs and ROI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, HubSpot, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Ads
  • Proven track record of closing mid to large-scale digital marketing or branding deals
  • Ability to present ROI-driven strategies and performance metrics effectively
  • Existing network of clients or industry connections is a strong advantage

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities across industries
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions
  • Manage the complete sales cycle: lead generation → qualification → proposal → negotiation → closure
  • Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Client Engagement & Strategy

  • Understand client requirements and pitch customized digital marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, design, performance, content) to create effective proposals and strategies
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with insight-driven presentations and solutions

Market Research & Lead Generation

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities
  • Generate leads through networking, online platforms, and outbound activities such as LinkedIn, Upwork, and cold outreach
  • Maintain and update pipeline, leads, and client communication in CRM systems
