About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal to lead the academic and administrative operations of a CBSE-affiliated English Medium School. The role requires a dynamic educational leader capable of driving academic excellence, operational efficiency, faculty development, and student growth while ensuring compliance with CBSE and State Education Board regulations.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, deep pedagogical understanding, excellent people management skills, and experience handling CBSE curriculum and affiliation processes.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership
Provide strategic direction for curriculum planning and implementation in alignment with CBSE guidelines.
Monitor academic performance, teaching quality, and student learning outcomes.
Drive innovative teaching methodologies, NEP 2020 initiatives, and activity-based learning practices.
Oversee academic calendars, timetables, examination schedules, and assessment systems.
Promote critical thinking, creativity, and student-centered learning culture.
2. School Administration & Operations
Manage day-to-day school operations including:
Admissions
Attendance
Discipline
Safety and security
Ensure compliance with:
CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws
DISE norms
State Education Department regulations
Oversee infrastructure management, vendor coordination, and resource allocation.
Maintain statutory records, school documentation, and student data.
Assist in annual budgeting and financial planning.
3. Faculty & Staff Management
Recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
Conduct classroom observations and performance reviews.
Organize professional development and training programs.
Build a collaborative, disciplined, and high-performance work culture.
Handle staff concerns and conflict resolution professionally.
4. Student Development & Welfare
Ensure holistic student development through academics, sports, arts, and co-curricular activities.
Implement counselling, mentoring, and student support systems.
Promote inclusive and safe learning environments.
Oversee disciplinary matters with fair and constructive approaches.
Encourage participation in Olympiads, competitions, and cultural programs.
5. Parent & Community Engagement
Build strong relationships with parents and community stakeholders.
Conduct parent-teacher meetings, academic reviews, and communication sessions.
Represent the school in educational forums and external events.
Support school branding, outreach initiatives, and community engagement programs.
6. Regulatory & Compliance Management
Ensure full compliance with CBSE affiliation requirements and educational regulations.
Coordinate with:
CBSE regional offices
Education authorities
Government departments
Handle inspections, audits, affiliation renewals, and statutory submissions.
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of institutional and student records.
Educational Qualifications
Mandatory
Postgraduate Degree (M.A. / M.Sc. / M.Com. or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks
B.Ed. from a recognized university
Preferred
M.Ed.
NET / SLET qualification
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10–15 years of teaching and academic experience
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as:
Principal
Vice Principal
Academic Head
Prior experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is mandatory
