Primary Responsibilities :
Source and procure HVAC and mechanical components including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, compressors, valves, pumps, ducting, insulation materials, and piping systems.
Review engineering drawings, HVAC layouts, BOQs/BOMs, technical specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate procurement.
Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, and related mechanical systems.
Manage RFQs, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, and finalize suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost optimization.
Coordinate with engineering, design, and project teams for technical approvals, material specifications, and procurement planning.
Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and project specifications.
Drive value engineering initiatives, alternate sourcing strategies, and procurement process improvements.
Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and reporting documentation within ERP systems.
Ensure timely material availability to support project schedules and site execution activities.
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or technical buying of HVAC and mechanical equipment.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, compressors, valves, pumps, insulation, and piping systems.
Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, layouts, technical submittals, BOQs, and BOMs.
Familiarity with HVAC standards and specifications such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, and relevant industry standards.
Experience in vendor development, supplier negotiations, and techno-commercial evaluations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience in MEP, EPC, Construction, HVAC Projects, Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, or Real Estate sectors preferred.
Ability to manage multiple procurement activities while meeting project timelines and budget targets.
