Primary Responsibilities :

Marine Operations Management

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of Marine CSD Dredgers.
  • Monitor vessel performance and ensure uninterrupted dredging operations.
  • Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with management regarding operational requirements and maintenance schedules.

Maintenance & Technical Supervision

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Monitor machinery performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ensure all marine equipment is maintained in accordance with industry standards.
  • Review maintenance reports and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.

Crew Management

  • Supervise onboard engineering and technical crews.
  • Monitor crew performance, productivity, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to crew members.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and work procedures.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a strong safety culture onboard.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and marine regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and participate in incident investigations when required.
  • Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare operational and maintenance reports for management.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders regarding vessel status and project progress.
  • Support project planning and execution activities.
Experience Requirements:

Educational Qualification

  • Marine Engineering Degree, Diploma, or equivalent marine certification.

Certifications

  • Certified Chief Engineer (Mandatory).

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of total sea service experience.
  • Previous experience as Chief Engineer is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working on dredgers, marine vessels, offshore projects, or heavy marine equipment is highly desirable.

Age Criteria

  • Maximum age: 57 years.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems and vessel maintenance.
  • Experience with dredging equipment and marine operations.
  • Understanding of marine safety and compliance standards.
  • Ability to manage maintenance planning and execution.

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in demanding marine environments.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.

 

Working Conditions

  • Assignment onboard Marine Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSD).
  • Work Location: Dead Sea Area, Jordan.
  • Working Hours: 10 hours per day.
  • Working Days: 6 days per week.
  • Rotation / Back-to-Back Crew Arrangements: Accepted.
