Primary Responsibilities :
  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations within the assigned process area (Worsted Spinning or Weaving).
  • Monitor production performance and ensure achievement of quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, increase output, and improve process reliability.
  • Analyze production data, KPIs, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Optimize production planning, scheduling, and resource utilization.
  • Monitor and reduce waste, downtime, rework, and process losses.
  • Ensure effective inventory management and timely fulfillment of production requirements.
  • Implement best manufacturing practices to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Support implementation of automation, digital manufacturing tools, AI-based solutions, and process innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to build future manufacturing leaders.
  • Prepare and present production reports, performance analysis, and improvement plans to management.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Experience Requirements:
  • BE/B.Tech in Textile Engineering (Mandatory).
  • 3–10 years of experience in Worsted Spinning or Weaving Manufacturing Operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, machinery, and production systems.
  • Proven experience in improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data, KPIs, and cost metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP systems and manufacturing reporting tools.
  • Understanding of inventory management, production planning, and capacity utilization.
  • Experience in process optimization, waste reduction, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Comfortable adopting new technologies, automation systems, AI tools, and digital manufacturing practices.
  • Age preference: 28–38 years.
  • Willingness to relocate and work in Nairobi.
