Primary Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership & Financial Planning

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations for investments, acquisitions, expansions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support executive leadership in evaluating business opportunities, project economics, and growth strategies.
  • Advise the Board and Managing Director on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting functions.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Treasury & Capital Management

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, working capital, and treasury operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
  • Lead debt financing, equity financing, project financing, and capital raising initiatives.
  • Develop and implement FX hedging and risk management strategies.
  • Optimize capital structure to support business growth and operational requirements.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks.

Experience Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline preferred.

Professional Certifications

  • Mandatory certification in one or more of the following:
    • ICAN
    • ACCA
    • ACA
    • CPA
    • CFA
    • Equivalent internationally recognized finance certification

Experience

  • 12–15 years of progressive finance experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role such as CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, or Head of Finance.
  • Strong experience within Energy, Oil & Gas, Engineering, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Industrial Services, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in fundraising, project finance, corporate finance, and capital structuring.
  • Experience managing large-scale budgets, financial planning, and business transformation initiatives.

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and international financial reporting standards.
  • Expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Strong knowledge of treasury management, cash flow planning, and working capital optimization.
  • Experience with mergers & acquisitions, investment analysis, and project evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of financial risk management, FX hedging, and capital markets.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems and finance automation tools.
