Primary Responsibilities :
Engineering Design & Technical Execution
- Prepare detailed engineering designs for EHV substations (132kV, 220kV, and 400kV).
- Perform Primary and Secondary Design Engineering for transmission and substation projects.
- Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Equipment Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Cable Schedules, and Control & Protection Schematics.
- Perform electrical design calculations and equipment sizing for substations and transmission systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, design reports, BOQs, and engineering documentation.
Project Coordination & Compliance
- Ensure all designs comply with IEC, IEEE, IS, and client-specific standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, contractors, and clients.
- Review vendor drawings and provide technical comments and approvals.
- Support project execution teams during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Resolve technical design issues and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
Quality & Documentation
- Maintain accurate engineering records, calculations, and design documentation.
- Ensure design deliverables are completed within project timelines and quality requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project progress discussions.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and design team members.
- Review engineering deliverables prepared by junior engineers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Experience Requirements:
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in EHV Transmission and Substation Design.
- Hands-on experience in designing 132kV, 220kV, and 400kV substations.
- Experience in both Primary and Secondary Design Engineering.
- Experience in 132kV and 220kV Transmission Line Design.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Primary Design
- Secondary Design
- Protection & Control Systems
- Electrical Design Calculations
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Electrical Equipment Selection
- Earthing & Lighting Design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of IEC, IEEE, IS, and international engineering standards.
Preferred Industry Exposure
- Experience in GCC/Middle East transmission and substation projects.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, or power utilities.
