Primary Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering designs for cranes, industrial equipment, and material handling systems using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Design and optimize crane structures, components, and mechanical systems based on customer specifications and project requirements.
- Perform engineering calculations related to load capacity, structural strength, material selection, and design optimization.
- Collaborate with sales, production, installation, procurement, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review customer specifications, technical requirements, and project documentation to develop cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve design-related issues during fabrication and assembly.
- Provide technical support during production, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Conduct design reviews, implement engineering improvements, and support continuous product development initiatives.
- Maintain proper revision control and documentation of engineering drawings, calculations, and design records.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, performance improvement, and ease of maintenance.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders whenever required.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation of new products and design modifications.
- Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
Experience Requirements:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Design Engineering, preferably in the EOT Crane, Material Handling Equipment, Structural Engineering, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Equipment domain.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent 2D/3D CAD software.
- Experience in preparing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, GA drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Good knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, machining, sheet metal, and manufacturing techniques.
- Strong understanding of engineering materials, material selection, and mechanical design principles.
- Knowledge of crane structures, industrial equipment, and structural design concepts will be preferred.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and optimize designs for cost, strength, and manufacturability.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with cross-functional departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with strong ownership and accountability.
- Candidates with experience in the EOT Crane, Material Handling, Structural Steel, or Heavy Engineering industries will be given preference.
