Primary Responsibilities :
Production Management
- Oversee daily production of spices, herbs, seasonings, masalas, and powder blends.
- Manage operations across weighing, grinding, blending, sieving, roasting (where applicable), packing, and line changeovers.
- Execute production plans while ensuring adherence to approved recipes and product specifications.
- Ensure uninterrupted production and timely completion of schedules.
Quality & Food Safety
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
- Ensure strict allergen control and cross-contamination prevention.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, FSSC, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
- Maintain product consistency, purity, flavour, and quality.
Process Improvement
- Improve production efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Minimize production losses and maximize product yield.
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
- Monitor productivity and optimize manpower utilization.
Cross Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the R&D team during:
- New Product Development (NPD)
- Trial batches
- Recipe optimization
- Flavour consistency improvements
- Coordinate with Engineering for preventive maintenance activities.
- Work with Quality Assurance to maintain compliance and product standards.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain complete batch manufacturing records.
- Ensure batch traceability and production documentation.
- Monitor production reports and compliance records.
- Ensure proper line documentation and operational SOP adherence.
Packaging Operations
- Supervise packing operations.
- Ensure proper functioning of:
- Packing machines
- Coding systems
- Labelling systems
- Monitor packaging quality checkpoints.
People Management
- Lead, train, coach, and supervise production teams.
- Develop employee skills and productivity.
- Foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Experience Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Food Science
- Food Technology
- Chemical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Related discipline
Experience Required
- 5–8 years of experience in:
- Spice Manufacturing
- Seasoning Production
- Powder Blend Manufacturing
- Food Manufacturing
