Primary Responsibilities :
Food Preparation
- Prepare authentic Indian vegetarian meals.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Plan daily meal preparation according to cafeteria requirements.
- Ensure timely food production and service.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain high standards of food quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian vegetarian cuisine.
- Ability to work independently in a cafeteria environment.
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Experience Requirements:
Educational Qualification
- Any relevant culinary qualification or hotel management certification is preferred.
- Professional cooking experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience Required
- 2–5 years of experience as a Chef or Cook.
- Experience in cafeterias, restaurants, hotels, institutional kitchens, or catering services is preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Preference for candidates of Nepali origin.
- Experience preparing Indian vegetarian food.
- Physically fit and willing to work in Dubai.
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
